Redecorate Responsibly
If you decide to redecorate, and this involves stripping wallpaper, please be careful when using a steamer as this could damage or blow the plasterwork causing more damage than using water with a scrapper. If we find you have caused damage, we may recharge you for the costs incurred to repair.
If you do find the plasterwork is damaged and falling off when you commence stripping wallpaper, please STOP immediately and call our Contact Centre on 0800 833 160 or visit our repairs webpage to book a routine appointment for a plasterer to attend.
Plastering appointments are not classed as an urgent priority job, you will be offered an appointment within 20 working days, and then depending on the works the actual repair will be carried out at a later date or as soon as our contractor has availability.
Please note we will only be responsible for blown plasterwork. If the walls are imperfect for painting you will need to use lining paper, we do not offer to skim plaster walls where lining paper could be applied by the resident as an alternative at your own cost.
