Person Centred Fire Risk Assessments (PCFRAs)

At SEH, the safety and wellbeing of our residents is our highest priority.  A Person Centred Fire Risk Assessment (PCFRA) is a personalised assessment designed to help residents understand fire safety within their home and ensure appropriate support is in place where needed.

A PCFRA provides an opportunity for one of our fire safety specialists to visit your home and carry out a fire safety check tailored to your individual circumstances.  During the visit, we can offer practical advice and guidance to help you and your household reduce fire risks and stay safe.

The assessment also allows us to:

  • Explain the fire safety arrangements and emergency evacuation procedures for your building.
  • Discuss any concerns you may have about fire safety in your home.
  • Identify residents who may require additional assistance in the event of an emergency evacuation.
  • Work with Essex County Fire & Rescue Service, where appropriate, to ensure relevant information is shared to support resident safety.

A PCFRA is particularly beneficial for residents who may have mobility issues, health conditions, or other circumstances that could affect their ability to respond quickly in an emergency.
