SEH Community Fund: Your ideas can make a difference

Do you have an idea that could make your neighbourhood better? Would you like to organise an event or improve a shared space? The SEH Community Fund could help make it happen.

Applications are now open until 30th October, and the next round of funding will be awarded at the end of November. If you have an idea but aren’t sure where to start, our Resident Engagement Team is happy to help you with your application.

We're pleased to share that, at our April Community Fund panel meeting, funding was awarded to projects at:

  • Bishop House: new garden furniture
  • Norman Harris House: support with gardening items
  • Kestrel: funding for community event and new BBQ

We look forward to seeing these projects take shape and the difference they will make for residents.

We're also welcoming one of our recent applicants onto the Community Fund panel. This gives them the chance to see how the fund works from both sides - first as someone applying for funding, and now as someone helping to make funding decisions. They will be supported by one of our experienced panel members, helping them build their knowledge and confidence in the role.

We're looking forward to seeing how our first guest panel member gets on. If it's a success, we'd like to offer this opportunity to more applicants in the future, giving even more residents the chance to see how the Community Fund works and helping us make the process even more open and inclusive.

If you're thinking about holding a community event, starting a new project or improving a shared area, we'd love to hear from you. Big or small, every idea has the potential to make a difference.
