Person Centred Fire Risk Assessments (PCFRAs)
At South Essex Homes, the safety and wellbeing of our residents is our top priority. A Person Centred Fire Risk Assessment (PCFRA) is a visit to help you understand fire safety in your home and make sure you get any support you need.
A PCFRA is a chance for one of our fire safety specialists to visit your home and carry out a fire safety check based on your needs. During the visit, they can share advice and guidance to help you and your household lower fire risks.
The assessment also lets us:
- Explain fire safety in your building and what to do if there is an emergency evacuation.
- Talk through any worries you may have about fire safety in your home.
- Know residents who may need extra help if there is an emergency evacuation.
- Work with Essex County Fire & Rescue Service, where needed, to share important information that helps keep you safe.
A PCFRA is helpful for residents who may have mobility issues, health conditions, or other needs that could affect their ability to respond quickly in an emergency.
