Check contractor ID every time
We would like to remind you that if you raise a repair with us, you will be advised which contractor will be visiting your property to carry the work out when you are given the appointment details.
The contractor will always carry identification and you are strongly advised to take time to properly check this when they arrive at your home – they will not mind waiting while you do. If you have any concerns, please call the phone number on the ID or call South Essex Homes on 0800 833 160 and we will be happy to verify their identification and offer advice.
Remember – you will never be expected to pay cash to a contractor yourself. If you are ever asked to pay them directly, politely decline and contact Essex Police immediately to report this as fraudulent activity, before reporting it to South Essex Homes for information.
