Your Bin Collection Days

In 2025 we had a fire in the bin room of one of our high rise blocks, which may have been caused by a lit cigarette or other flammable item such as lithium batteries being disposed of down the bin chute. 

Please be extremely careful when disposing of household waste. Items that could cause a fire such as cigarettes, matches, batteries, especially lithium-ion batteries, must not be put with household waste and never down bin chutes.

Adams Elm House Estate Inspection

Outcome of inspection:

Caretaking:

  • Clean needed in stairwells & bin room
  • Ambulance bay painted lines faded - Cars using this as an excuse to park there.
  • Laundry room & drying area floor dirty

All raised to Jamie.

Repairs:

  • Back railing by exit door, tenants advised still not been painted yellow like the others. - To be raised to repairs
  • Air con by office and the above floor not working - To be raised to repairs
  • Update wanted for leak by back entrance door. Bucket still there, is a trip hazard. - To be chased with repairs
  • Update wanted on communal hallway ceiling damaged from flat 76 down. - To be chased with repairs
  • Guttering full of debris - To be raised to repairs
  • Heating on continuously on top floor - To be raised to repairs
  • Pond not being cleaned properly - To be raised to repairs/Careline

Tenancy:

  • Items in drying area and bikes in stairwell - to be addressed at residents meeting
  • Electric chair left in lounge
