Board Drop-in Session
What's it all about?
Residents have told us they want more chances to speak directly to decision makers, rather than going through formal meetings or paperwork. This session is designed to do just that - making board members more approachable, visible and easy to talk to.
Whether you want to raise something small, discuss a bigger issue, or simply get to know who's on the board, you're very welcome.
Booking your time slot
To help the day run smoothly, residents are asked to book a 15-minute slot in advance.
When you book, you'll be asked to give a short note about what you'd like to talk about. This doesn't need to be detailed - it just helps board members get ready and make the best use of your time together.
What to expect
- A friendly, relaxed chat with a board member
- A private 15-minute meeting
- A chance to share your views, ideas or concerns
- A board that's there to listen
If you're not sure whether your topic is the right one - please don't worry. If it matters to you, it matters to us.
How to get involved
You can book a session by emailing us residentengagement@seh.southend.gov.uk or calling 0800 833 160 and requesting the Resident Engagement Team. Appointments will be offered on a first come, first served basis, so we recommend booking early.
We're really looking forward to welcoming residents to the Civic Centre on Wednesday 17th June and continuing to improve how we listen, learn and respond to your views.
