Garden in Bloom Competition 2025
Calling all residents, leaseholders and budding young gardeners! The Resident Engagement Team is excited to invite you to take part in the 2025 Garden in Bloom Competition.
Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just discovering your love for plants there's a category for everyone!
Competition Categories
- Best Front Garden
- Best Back Garden
- Best Communal Garden
- Best Vegetable Plot
- Best Hanging Baskets
- Best Sustainable Garden
- Best Window or Patio Container
Each category will have three winners!
Entries will be judged on design, use of space, colour, originality, upkeep and overall presentation.
Photo Submissions
We encourage you to take photos of your entry when it is at its best and email them to us.
Need a hand with photos? Please tick the box on your application and we will arrange a visit.
Young Gardeners in Bloom (Aged 16 & under)

Closing Date
All applications and photos to be submitted by Friday 22nd August, photos of your entries to be emailed to Sue Rickard at residentengagement@seh.southend.gov.uk
If you have asked for photo support, we will contact you in July to arrange a visit.
